The a cappella ring tone features a professional singer chanting the word condom more than 50 times.

It’s a playful approach that public health activists hope will spark discussion and make condoms more socially acceptable in India, where condoms carry a strong social stigma but where AIDS is a growing problem.

ROME , (AP) - An Italian priest is backtracking from his idea to organize an online beauty pageant for nuns.

The priest says he has been misunderstood and has incurred the protests of the faithful as well as local religious authorities.

Rev. Antonio Rungi had thought of the beauty contest to give nuns more visibility within the Catholic Church and to fight the stereotype that they are all old and dour.

The first ever such fashion show by China’s largest condom manufacturer, Guilin Latex Factory, will feature wedding gowns, evening dresses, bikinis and other garments made of condoms.

They hope the exhibition will promote the use of condoms for the purpose of HIV/AIDS prevention.

They launched a “condom artwork” campaign within their factory, encouraging employees to produce outfits and craftwork out of useless by-products.

PHNOM PENH (Reuters) - The price of rat meat has quadrupled in Cambodia this year as inflation has put other meat beyond the reach of poor people, officials said on Wednesday.
With consumer price inflation at 37 percent according to the latest central bank estimate, demand has pushed a kilogram of rat meat up to around 5,000 riel ($1.28) from 1,200 riel last year.

Setting a new Guinness World Record, 1,202 bikini women joined together to form the Olympic rings logo at Xiangjiang Water park in Guangzhou, China.

Guinness World Records, previously known as The Guinness Book of Records is a reference book published annually, containing an internationally recognized collection of world records, both human achievements and the extreme of the natural world.
